Adore v Slow Love - Which dya prefer?

Apologies if this has already been a topic, but it always niggles away at me in the cold hours of the night - psyche

For my money, Adore is the stronger cut - lyrically it's a cut above Slow Love in my opinion. Melodically it's as majestic as Prince has achieved yet, and the haunting and profoundness of the subject matter make it one of the greatest love songs ever written

Slow Love is all right. It's pretty damn good.

But Adore (yeah, come 'n get me, you know who you are, Moonbeam, Handclaps, yeah, I fuckin said it), Adore is ballad perfection. There is absolutely nothing like this song. Nothing! After sixteen years it can still leave you spent and speechless.

IMHO, there's no question...Adore.

I'd personally give the edge to Slow Love. It's Prince does Motown. I've always thought it very underrated.

Adore. Prince was playing the hell outta that organ. I think this song has a very gospel-like vibe to it.

I remember years ago, when SOTT first came out, I was enjoying Adore on my "Sony Walkman." I told my folks that this song is worth $100 per listen.
Slow Love is a good song too but Adore is the cat's ass!(that's a good thing!)

I will always prefer Adore, I love that song, my man burned a CD for me with songs he dedicated to me - Adore was the first song - it will ALWAYS have special meaning to me.

Adore is the most beautiful ballad ever written. I will use it in my wedding.

Adore.It's his greatest ballad and I love the way his voice is multitracked so he sounds like a choir. Also the 'I ain't fuckin just 4 kicks' line is awesome. My favorite bit of P swearing ever! There's also a part where this piano line comes in just kinda arpreggios that gets me every time.
As 4 Slow Love mmm I think it's the worst track on the album.

I think it's evident that Adore wins hands down.
Slow love is such a great track too, but I think it's only a fitting testament to the sheer genuius of Adore that so many prefer it.

Incidently SOTT is my fav Prince lp, and the 'Slow Love v Adore' question has always niggled away at me, I just wanted 'your' views, and thankfully you've reaffirmed what I thought to be true - Adore is a work of genius and towers above almost any other ballad, that I at least know off!
