I attended the Prince party at Berlin in Chicago with Anxiety and youngca, two of the coolest people you would ever wanna meet. We spent about an hour just talking over coffee and iced tea, I probably could have talked to them for hours more. We got to the club about nine and watched most of Purple Rain and a lot of clips from television appearances and videos, and then the music started.

They played some great stuff and it was wonderful to see the type of crowd Prince music brings out, and I got to meet Ricco to boot. Even though Anx, youngca and I all feel different ways about different songs and about Prince himself, we all still could meet on common ground and find something we all could agree on. I was reminded last night of why I dug Prince in the first place.

It was some good times - I've been thinking a lot about the stuff we chatted about, and I'm really kinda amazed at how much more perspective a small group of folks can share talking face-to-face, ya know? Not that forums like this are useless, but the information just doesn't flow as easily...ya know?

Glad y'all had a good time! I coulda used a party last night, that's for sure.

ANXIETy is right on...on the org is one thing meeting and
