If the author had wanted to 'come out,' I'm quite sure they would have (although having witnessed some of the anti-fan behaviour on this site recently, it's of little surprise that he hasn't done so).

There's a reason I've kept certain specifics confidential e.g. there was quite a bit more to this note but perhaps not appropriate for just anyone to read. Clearly, I should have invested some time in presenting the note but to be quite honest, I wanted to see how you would all react. At the very least, it's served to highlight some less than admirable behavioural traits amongst some of us here e.g. the idea that a fan's genuine, personal experience around Prince is something to be ridiculed.

Anyway, like I have already said, I think that the author's account was interesting to read and that Prince's comment of giving it all up for God, very revealing indeed. I was shocked by it, so I thought that some of you might be. In light of recent developments in Prince's fan community, I think this revelation is all the more poignant. Dansa, you've always been cool in my books but sometimes I do feel that many people here jump on this bandwagon of negativity without reasonable thought or consideration.

He has professed his great love for god all along, since the first album, it is not new. I'm glad that whomever got the opportunities if they did so.
