I get the Sunday morning ads on Saturday and guess what I didn't find. Well, I was looking to see if anyone was selling any of those Deluxe Edition CDs for a nice price but no one had it. I didn't even think about Prince's "N.E.W.S" but then I thought about it, looked again and found it no where. Wah? I know he kind of out of the loop but no stores are going to put in their ad. Do you think it might have something to do with the release date which kind of came out of no where (to me it did). The big release this week appears to be "LSG 2" and some small albums by a group called JS and some chick called Sarari or something. Terrible. Anyone know where the album will be the cheapest. If I could I would go to an independent record store for this one considering I'm going to pay full price anyway but there aren't any around here.

Has it even been shipped to retail?

I noticed a lot of people read these but didn't leave any comments. I guess "N.E.W.S" didn't appear in any ads anywhere. Can't get it cheap, huh? I must admit that I'm kind of suprised more people aren't talking about it. I guess a lot of people have gotten it at NPGMC (or downloaded it there).

It's always only major label stuff you see in those ads. So the major labels probably pay a lot of money to get their products in the ads (or there's some kind of kickback program, who knows). Prince is indie, so the only time you'll see his stuff on those Best Buy ads, etc, is when he's hooked up with some major company. The DVD will probably be in those ads next month.

It's interesting that even on prince.org, hardly anyone is talking about his new album.

Does anyone remember when a new Prince album being dropped was an Earth-Shattering Event?
