The shocking thing is some fanatics will actually send their collections to the little bugger, and he may actually have a bonfire, or have a steamroller go over the booty. This has to be some JW thing Larry came up with. A way for Prince to deflect the sins of his past.

Sorry, but there's no excuse for this shit. Prince already has every bootleg out there. In fact, he personally took every bootleg of his from Revolution Records in NYC a few years ago. So I don't wanna hear shit about him needing the CD's from us. It's a fucking scam.

i can understand why some people might feel a bit doubtful about this latest emailed request from NPGMC, BUT, i work in a law firm and what prince seems to be doing is gathering evidence for a case against WB

the point which is important to remember is that IF people like you and i were able to obtain these unofficial releases through a foreign based- WB affiliate, AND said distribution was in violation of WB's agreement with prince, THEN instead of mocking prince we should all support him, really and truly, right now.

although it's true that prince could probably subpoena WB's records for details pertaining to this material, it is far easier for him to ask us to provide him copies of what we were able to buy through an unauthorized distribution channel, and evidence received by prince through in this fashion might make a more compelling case against WB,

think of all the demo tapes folks send him, think of all the unsolicited 'gifts' he receives from 'fans' daily.
now, think of his request as a chance to actually support the man by giving him something he has asked for, something he needs and will be able to put to a good use.

so if you are at all inclined to support the guy, now would be a great time to do so.
