Come on y'all,

Y'all know these 2 groups was the ish back in the dayz. They couldn't sing worth crap, but you gotta admit they where entertaining. Even though these girls had their 15 minutes, I think as Prince fans, we all can agree Vanity/Apollonia 6 holds a specail place in our hearts and if not ur in denial .



I have both copy's of the 6 albums (on CD). What I wanted to know is, What do Prince fans perfer the most? I know Apollonia 6 was just a cover up for Vanity abscene,but it was still one of my favorite groups from back in the days and it seems like Brenda and Susan had more chemistry with Apollonia, then they did with Vanity. I guess because all the focus was on Vanity, instead of the other girls when it was Vanity 6.I always thought Prince put much more effort into this album then he did the last, even though I heard that Brenda wrote alot of the tracks also.

I was never really 2 impressed Vanity 6. I guess because they where supposed to be a new wave/ pop band other then R&B.And besides Nasty girls, I never really heard any of their other music, however. I do think if I was a teen ager in the 80's I would apprecaite it alot more then I do now, cuz the Vanity 6 LP kinda suckss , however.
There are a few songs I can't help, but to groove to, for instants...

He's so dull sounds so 80's to me, every time I hear it I can't help but think about the theme show 2 Kids and corperated . Overall Apollonia 6 has got me.. I would love some groups that's out today cover their songs. Especailly A Millions Mile and Some Kinda Lover

To be honest I haven't listened to Apollonia 6 through. I have V 6 on CD and A 6 on LP, and loved V 6. Is Apollonia 6 worth getting into?

APOLONIA 6 is just a smashing album! Remember all the critics (Rock to Funck) were 3 stars about this pearl.
It's far better than Vanity 6, which is okay and funny.

I must admit that I like Apples 6 better, The extended verison of "Sex Shooter" is hot as hell! I can listen to both albums all the way through a few times a day. I had a tape copy of "Apollonia 6" (sure I still do) and used to listen to on my way back from school everyday for about a year (might have been longer). Loved it! I actually don't have "Vanity 6" but have heard it many times. Great songs. "Virbrator" should have been on there and it would have been even better. Now I love all the tracks but I'll name the 2 best from each.

i always liked the song 'he's so dull' by vanity 6. it was so corny and pop.
'makeup' was a favorite of mine to zone out to
