Is it just me or has anybody ever noticed how Prince dressed alot like the patridge family? Whenever I would watch The show I use to always wonder if he was ever inspired by their style That's kinda funny though Prince inspired by the patridge mom Anyway I think the patridge family and purple rain had the same producing team which was none other then Magonoli, Ruffalo and Fargonoli. Has anybody else noticed this besides me?

Well, Michael Melvoin, Wendy's father, composed and recorded most of the original music for the Partridge Family. and Lisa's dad also was a session musician for them as well.

When W & L were little they spent a lot of time in the studio with their dads, watching them work on Partidge Family material/albums.

So...maybe they influenced Prince regarding the Partridge Family.

Other Prince infuences as far as clothing style would be George Wasington, Amadeus, Adam Ant, Zorro and:

no, dear Prince didn't get that look from the Partridge family...he got it from Jimi Hendrix, Little Richard, and probably that dude from The Who.

Mike Melvoin, who produced the Partridge Family records, is Wendy Melvoin's Dad! She used to hang out on the set when she was a kid...so who knows? Maybe she was the one inspired by their "style"!!
