If fans can't understand him anymore, how can they justifiably label him as this or that?

It is just less poetic. It lacks the poetry that once grace his lyrics from "when Doves Cry", to Screams of Passion" to StarFish and Coffee" to "Shy" | |

the simple answer? The Cross vs. The Christ. what was once poetic and symbolic is now blatantly in black and white. prince was always good with symbolism and metaphors. now he's just so plain and simple. | |
