Maybe Prince will earn some respect when he stops trying to poison our ears with such foul and putrid "so-called" music.
You are gonna be waiting a LOOONG time but I think you already knew that. See ya!

In an attempt to answer the question initially posted, I feel that a forum should allow free discussion of its designated topic/subject, so long as the forum community is respected. I believe we should be able to speak freely about Prince on these forums, regardless of the opinion and/or the manner of expression.

On this issue, I concur with the moderators.

Very well spoken, todd. I still think it's funny that the subject we have initially come here for, Prince, is not at least shown the same level of respect that we are expected to show each other. Dislike, disagree, debate a subject all you like but can't it be done without being disrespectful to said subject? I guess this is all based on my own values that an opinion is only worth listening to if it is a respectful one. I see I'm in a minority here.

Anji the word FUCK in it's original meaning was to "sow the land' u know like plant something in the ground. It appears to me that Prince is trying to sow the rainbow children. Anyway,,, let's try and respect him.

When I use profanity, respect or disrespect has little to do with it. If I know it upsets someone, I'll weigh for myself whether or not it warrants self-censorship.

The one time I spoke to Prince , the opportunity to curse never really came up. I'd respect his feelings about language as much as he'd respect mine about religion.

I just talk most of the time.

I agree with you, Anji, I think Prince should get more respect. I know everyone is to his own opinion, and that's cool, but if we have to respect one another, which isn't a bad thang, than why can't we show the same respect to the man in honor? Just my twocents

I agree with you Anji. I wouldn't even purposefully talk about J-lo with disrespect-- and she hasn't provided one good note of music. Those that consistently show disrespect for Prince obviously feel no connection to him and thus when they feel wronged (late cds, etc.) they bitch and complain rather than walk away. I'm not talking about those of us that poke fun at him from time to time or condemn a song they think is crap. I'm talking about those who think he hasn't made a good song since Wendy and Lisa left.
