End of TRC

Is there a somehow encrypted message at the end of "The Rainbow Children"? There's that strange sound at the end of "Last December" like at the end of "Darling Nikki" which had a backward message. Also track 21 has a similar-sounding piece. "Wah wah wah wah-one one one one" or something like that.

I don't think it's a backwards message instead just a sound effect.

Ok it seems strange that that sound would be in the hidden track, so similar to Nikki's message, but thank you for replying.

If it were that self-explanatory I wouldn't be posting about it. smile
I would understand if it were just at the end of "Last December" but it stops for the tracks up to 21 then starts again. And it sounds just like "Nikki".
I guess nobody knows, I will try to figure it out.
Thanks anyway,

He's says Come 2gether as ONE.

Then ONE is repeated over and over.

We should all be ONE, we should all give thanks to the ONE.

THE ONE.

That's it.

So you´re saying that "one" is repeated backwards, thus giving it a new meaning that may reference Darling Nikki?

Just kidding...lol

if you play this snippet backwards it repeats the word "no" over and over again... maybe he's backmasking this emphatic denial?!

Cancel when the translation thing pops up. The hidden message is at the bottom of the lyrics.

Sometimes oldie's rudeness can be just as amazing.
There can't be a message because...?? That would just be too...? Just tell me, why would an artist place a non-sensical sound hidden at the end of an album? Apart from all other songs. THAT does not make sense.

There could be a hidden message, it's just that there isn't one in this instance.

The sound isn't nonsensical. As many have already said, it's just "one" repeated in a loop...a reiteration of the basic message of the song. I'm not trying to be rude or flame you or anything, but if it sounds like nonsene, it may be time for you to upgrade your speakers or try listening through headphones.
I've gone to find myself. If I should return before I get back, keep me here.

It's not part of the song, the part I'm talking about. "Last December" closes with the sound, then it stops, silence, for track 15 to 20, then it begins again. It just seems very odd, why would that be put there? Buried at the back. I would have no question, I would also think it were just part of the song, if it just went "one one one..." to the end of "Last December". But then there's a whole different track where it picks up again, there is nothing but that sound.
In "Darling Nikki" it sounds like "one one one" but we know there is a hidden message there, and it isn't even in a track by itself. Does it really seem beyond belief this could be the same case?
Would Prince be trying to trick us into looking for a message that isn't there? That would have to be what he were doing. He had to go through the same process to create the same sequence. And if you're going to produce an extremely similar sequence that previously had a message enclosed, why not just do the same thing over? I don't think he would play a game like that, making the sound for no reason. It's really quite logical to reason the odds are good something is there to be deciphered.
Maybe I haven't made the point that it doesn't just sound like "one one one" it sounds very strange, on both albums. It's not just voices, there's a strikingly similar electronic note to it.
I know you are not being disrespectful and I thank you for it.

P.S. I'm so sick of talking about this! lol

There's no hidden message in the "one, one, one..." bit.
No backwards masking, nothing.

The only thing that may have some special hidden
meaning is the fact that tracks 15-20 are silent and last
for 3 seconds each. Or that the album as a whole, because
of that, has 21 tracks and lasts for exactly 70 minutes.

PS...conch??? it's called 'irony'!!! lol hug
and the reason that the REAL end of 'Last December' fades back in after a number of blank trax is that if it was left as one whole track - it would piss people off having 2 wait 4 the track 2 finish with however many minutes of 'dead air' - hence the way the CD is mastered - giving u the choice of turning it off at the fade, or letting the album run it's course.
I hope this answers your question my dear. smile
PS: I bump 4 free - just dont tell wink
