Cleanse the audio palate with some Ween.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

It happened to me about a year ago so I just don't listen to him very often anymore. Worked wonders and it allows me to enjoy his music more when I do.

Me. This angelic friend of mine gave me a lot of stuff and I listened to it so much, I'm burned out. I haven't listened to P in a whole week.

I go through periods of wanting to listen to Prince stuff, and periods of not wanting to - just like other artists/styles of music.

I did go through a long period after Crystal Ball and upto TRC that I really didn't listen to him at all. I bought the albums and gave them a once-through, but I really wasn't into his stuff that much for that time period.

This happened to me a few times in the past. Normally when you don't hear anything new for a while.

THE CURE?

Live performances - go watch Lovesexy live, SOTT, or even Rave into.

You soon remember why you love the man, everything from lovesexy and SOTT to Chaos and Disorder suddenly take on a whole new lease of life. This of course is secondary to a LIVE live performance, brings it all flooding back you can't get enough. The best feeling in the world.

I understand that! No $ can be detrimental to your collection.

Yes I get burned out sometimes for months at a time and then go back and "rediscover" his stuff and it always shocks me how great so much of it is. Most artists have maybe two or three great songs, but Prince has at least a hundred songs that I love.

I never really get tired of the older classic stuff like 1999 though. I could listen to that album every day and never really get sick of it.

I am. I just recently got the "Testament" mp3 cd collection, and I'm in the process of converting it 2 cds 4 my own collection, but I have about 3 or 4 other people that I have 2 make copies 4, and I'm still not done with mine!! I will definatley be burned out when it's all said and done.
