Larry still lives here and they are still friends as they show up around town together, but Larry didn't want to be in the band anymore.

Give a listen to the aftershow disc of ONA live because Larry is on that.

I was thinking could Sheila be the antidote to Larry G?
she said, about the planned Revolution reunion: there's no pressure on him (P), it's not like someone we know...

Larry appears on the 'ONA box-set'both on the aftershow disc and in the booklet. Larry and Prince remain friends.

You have no evidence whatsoever that Larry Graham pressured Prince to do anything.

What you have written is complete conjecture.

Have you ever considered that Prince just might have wanted to become a Jehovah's Witness all by himself?

you would say that being one yourself.People don't just 'awake' one day and decide to become one, it usually takes a little bit of manipulation (i tried to think of a nicer word but manipulation it is).Prince was at a low ebb after the death of his child, unfortunately larry just happened to be the person he turned to, as i understand it.

if people just magically decided to just become JW's your lot wouldn't need to come knocking on my door every bloody weekend trying to convert me.

Larry manipulated him just as other JW's manipulate non believers. Too bad Prince allowed someone else to alter his life so extremely.

Why can't people just be happy 4 his religious-belief? Last time I checked he's a 45 years old man, dammit!

Ya'll would be tripping if people judged ya'll 4 yo religious believes.

It sucks because he was always spiritually independent, not a die-hard member of any organized religion, a free spirit. Now he's on lock-down.

I understand, but the brotha spend over 20 years making LPs and releasing music. Don't you think its fair that AFTER all these years of hardwork, he deserve what he choose 4 himself? I mean, its not like we owe him anything.

THIS IS ONE OF THOSE BULLSHIT THREADS WHERE PEOPLE DON'T KNOW OR EITHER HAVE NEVER TOOK THE TIME TO FIND OUT ABOUT ISSUES SUCH AS THIS AND IF IS WHAT PRINCE WANTS TO DO THEN IT IS NO ONE'S BUSINESS BUT HIS. HIS PERSONAL LIFE IS HIS BUSINESS JUST LIKE YOUR PERSONAL LIFE IS YOURS.

Sheila didn't challenge P come otherwise you're no more my friend
I've read that when P was still swearing Larry just left one of his concert to show his disapprovement as if P's crude lyrics was a surprise to him
it's not my definition of true friendship & mutual respect

You bring up a good point. Nobody has any evidence. The only people with evidence are the ones involved, and even then I doubt they recorded their conversations, so they don't have any either.

He causes 2 become wtf does that mean?
Wait, I don't care I have certainly read more books in my life than all jw - it's not difficult since they only dig the Bible smile
I've been a P's fan for 17 years and will listen to his music until the day I die, I thank him for these wonderful songs, the terrific unforgettable concerts and I don't think that he owes me anything
It's just that does he really think that he will change the religious/ spiritual views of his fans with this kind of silliness? and what for? to recruit new jw?

Prince has the right of course to choose whoever he wants to be his friend. But, if you have ever seen him on stage with Prince, it doesn't take much to see that Larry isnot all that smart, and the first thing that comes to my mind when I see Larry is What a fake.

I think that it is amazing that Prince the genius would let such an idiot guide him in so many ways.

You can bet your life that Larry and the JWs are the ones that influenced Prince to stop having parties at PP and I'd bet every penny they're the reason he didnot attend his parents funerals.

prince has the right..to give us back what we lost..
we lost our money, our time, some of us even identity over him..
bowie's and madonna's fans got their icons, active stars who put out brillant records AND top the charts while majors reprint their back catalogue with outtakes and live version; we are still losing our time on "new musical ways"...
tell what you like, but rc and ona and news are not prince's music..they are graham's..and be honest, how many years passed since we had reals chills from a prince's album? I mean..the REAL ones, not just " oh, it's ok,it's right, i love the brother blah blah.." TOO MANY...
I hope that graham is not in prince's circle anymore: he influenced his music poorly, his lifestaile only for the worst, and even his spirituality is lacking short at the time..LOVESEXY, not the rainbow children was a spiritual album, and was great music too..
