I would like to audition to play Aaron. (Prince's old bodygaurd *the white bald guy - circa late 90's*) The event actually sounds like it could be fun, but wow are you in for a lot of work trying to put together something like this. . I've caught Julians Ride a couple of times..
Julian will be great in that role...he's got the moves down, the costumes will put him over the top...he's even got the smirk down too. sounds like fun... Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

an opera? as in they are adding more songs? cause there is not enough music in PR to be an opera (rock or not), and way too much spoken dialogue.
do they mean that they are staging purple rain as a play? i am confused Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. - Lord Acton

Ok- It is technically a rock opera company. We will however have dialogue for purple rain...so, it then would be..technically a Rock musical- sorry for any confusion.

lol Milty,id rather watch Showgirls in a loop over and over with a double shot of grafiti bridge followed by 3 hours of Tony M Acapellas, at least that wouldnt be as bad as some purple rain Rockopera [This message was edited Thu Jul 17 17:18:27 PDT 2003 by Finess]

I'm afraid. Very afraid.
They should get a drag king to play The Kid. Now THAT would be sexy.

FYI- miroc is a non-profit org. Please view the web page at www.miroc.com our agenda with this particular show is domestic violence and a percentage of the proceeds will be going to a charity about that particular cause.
We will be donating to different causes for each show. Along with giving people the opportunity to be involved in thatre without having to do things like."Annie Get Your Gun" or "Oklahoma". LOL

LOL domestic violence? well that's ironic, seeing as how there's a domestic violence storyline in the movie. ***************************************************
