THought I would post this cute story about PRince's Driving. It's about when Stevie Nicks went to his house to record "Stand Back."

"You wanna hear a story about Prince? One time we played New York and he came and picked me up . . . he wanted to take me out to his house. Of course none of my people wanted to just let me go. Nine-thirty in the morning. We get in Prince's purple car. He was in his purple clothes too. Swear to God. I had halfway gotten out of my stage clothes, but I still had the skirt on, and tennis shoes . . . I get in his car, and we're, I kid you not, in Minnesota. We went down the freeway at 150 miles an hour. And I am, like, "We're gonna get pulled over. This is gonna look so bad. We're gonna get pulled over, Prince. We're going 150 miles an hour." So I went out and spent the day at his purple house. We kind of played around with a song for a little while, in his recording studio a little bit, and then he took me back to be at the Fleetwood Mac plane at, like, three o'clock in the afternoon. I made it back on time to take off and go to the next gig. But I swore we were gonna be pulled over. And how are we gonna . . . looking like we look . . . how are we going to get out of this one? What are we gonna say? We were, you know, we were just casually cruising out to your house, you know . . . at 150 miles an hour. Prince, we're gonna go to jail, both of us. He didn't care. He kept going."

ain't surprised at all, i've heard ol' boy's a bit of a lead-footed driver...

Stevie! I wonder if they still keep in contact? Seems like they were buds. She's always got stories on him, I think they met eye to eye on songwriting and creativity and style.

Remember those Purple Rain era pants Prince wore? Those side button white pants with the crumpled up legs, I've seen a photo of Stevie wearing the same style of pants around that time or a little before with big heels...just a little observation.

I remember being at last year's celebration and Prince driving out of the gates in his purple 2 seater Chrysler thing - and he went like sh*t off a shiny shovel!!

New York to Chanhassen? That can't be a serious story...

remember how fast he was driving in UTCM? he scared the hell outta me.

Thursday night after Prince decided to cruise the parking lot of the Park, he went thru a RED LIGHT (it was a blantant action too, thank God there were no cars coming his way.)

A story I heard about that Stevie era
came from her "camp". This person called him "sleazy & disgusting" ...

Maybe this person saw some "action" between Prince & Stevie.

there is definitely some strange coincidences and an even more strange relationsip between the two. stevie wrote a song called "1,000 days" which is about her relationship with prince, and more specifically, about the last time she saw him. his influence helped to create "stand back" and he obviously was interested enough to fly her to mpls and hang out for the day. who knows what kind of boost to prince's ego it would have been for him to bed the then queen of rock...since he was the prince. hmmm...
