Joni Mitchell has described him once as "a strange duck".
Chaka Khan does her best not to mention Prince since their split in 1998/1999. The rumour goes there were some differences regarding money issues. I've never heard anything from Curtis Mayfield regarding Prince. Unfortunately, we don't have a chance to hear it now. For the rest, I don't know. ______________

Hmmm,,,I don't know if I can label that as a diss or not Chaka Khan does her best not to mention Prince since their split in 1998/1999. The rumour goes there were some differences regarding money issues.
Actualy, he came backstage in one of her recent concerts in MPLS, she even tried to bring him on the stage 2 join her, they're still cool as far as I'm concern. What I ment is what does she THINK of him as an artist(I already know that he worked 4 her but you can't tell anything str8 from the woman since's she always come up as the moody chic)

Miles Davis was one of his idols. Miles spoke extensively on his admiration of Prince. Miles' latest DVD has an interview where he emntions a video that Prince directed for Sheila E (I think its Koo Koo).
Dont forget George Clinton and Little Richard. ALl three of these legands can be seen on the INteractive CD room praising Prince. I think Clinton said it best when he called Prince the "positive nuisance". More than anyone else, Prince has been that throughout his career - in hiss image, words, and music. He pushes the envelope - like Miles did. And like Miles, he is criticized for it at this late stage in his career after gaining legendary status with the a past vidion that most people dont seem to be able to let go.
