Prince did badmouth Clive ,BUT they are on speaking terms now.Prince showed up at a couple of parties hosted by Clive.
Prince realized the coup at Arista by LA Reid and Clive was not responsible for the lack of promotion that Rave received. The artists still give Prince propers because they know what is going on.The ones that don't are not ready to leave the teat of their mommy. Prince is hated because he has exposed a system that left superstars broke and he started talking about it publicly. So the industry says "We made you,now we will break you. Ask the question :Why was TMBGITW successful being independently released but TGE was not although WB was "backing" the album.? That is the reason that his moves have not been as successful as others trying to be independent.He is sabatoged at every turn. |

Well, the article IS full of shit factually, although I'm not saying that Prince makes friends everywhere he goes, lawd. But it was reported AGES AGO that he was moving to Toronto (and apparently he did buy a house there, which is his modus operandi...Mayte in spain, and now Mani in toronto) but there is nothing to suggest that he's moving out of Paisley at this time.
And as someone else said, the stuff about nobody wanting to distribute NEWS...what's up with that? It's listed on basically every online web site, including Amazon. A distributor has nothing to do with actually manufacturing the CD's, do they? I don't exactly blame anyone in the record industry for not wanting to hook up with Prince, just like I don't really blame Prince for not wanting to deal with those fuckers...but if he wants a distributor, apparently he could go with Redline. TRC was the last Prince release that was in the stores and actually had a fucking release date...boo-hoo. I like it when everyone gets the joints at once... No confusion, no tears.
