Wouldn't U Love 2 Love Me

Someone is floating this around as a demo featuring Madonna and Prince. Did they collaborate on this song? You can clearly hear Prince on the mp3, but where's Madonna? I don't know the history of this song, so if anyone has the 411, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

The only thing i know about this track is that he wrote it for one of his proteges Taja Sevelle, and it was released on her debut self titled album. I don't remeber hearing any recognizable vocals from Prince but as with most of the songs he's given away there's a demo of him doing it first.

Possibly the demo he recorded with Sue Ann Carwell in 1978?

There is a 76 version, a 77/78 Version, and an 87 version floating around. The Taja version is different again, although it is based on the 87 version.

Prince obviously loves it, offered it to Jacko, but in the end, it vanished down a black hole with Taja.

Personally, I think its a weak tune. Its like "If I love You 2nite", Prince touted it about for years, but its a very average song.

its sounds kinda late 70's ish.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!
