Extra Loveable and Purple Music

Okay Y'all Know what, I don't understand how I could've been a Prince fan fur so long without ever hearing Purple Music or Extra Lovable. If I would've heard these 2 jams from the start, there's no doubt in my mind, I would've been a addicted 2 the music a long time ago. Words can't even explain how these 2 tracks make me feel. When I listen 2 Purple Musi, Got dammit I gotta dance even if I don't feel like. The music is so intensed , I be thinking I'm high at times. Now I think I know what Jimi hendrix was talking about, when he was singing purple haze wink

and alsoI am so in love with the some Extra Lovable... I mean Oh My GAWD what a awsome song that is, it's truly music 2 my ears when I listen to. Have you ever listen 2 a song, only 2 feel it in ur gut? Whenever I listen 2 Extra Lovable I feel it so much, it makes my eyes water touched... lol

You know what screw Prince, I'm adopting these two songs and they're both gonna be my 2 kids. Ones a girl and the other a boy.I love them both they same, I show no favortism towards them, cuz they both so dayum funky. I feel safe with puttig this on my favorite song list, since I found out Qualifield Kiss Prince wasn't really Prince singing, but british girl band lol

Is there a clear version of Purple Music? the one on 'the work' bootleg has muffled drums, which is a pity cause it's a fookin' great track.

Extra Loveable is just incredible, the end bit about 'Im just going to have to rape you' always gets a rise out of my friends...
Personally . I think we are all Boring with No Lives cause all we do is talk about Prince,Criticize and Gossip. I need a Horny Man is what I Need and probably so do most of yas. We are Sexually Frustrated what we R... Amen..!!! - zelaire

I love "Purple Music" sooo damn much, its a damn shame and unfair that its ended up as an outtake. I think the 1999 would be more than completed if Baby, You're A Trip & Purple Music were in it.

I love the fact that its sick, twisted, dark, edgy and just so damn beautiful, the whole thang is like WHOA!(just like the Mya song lol). I love All The Critics so much just becoz it reminds me of this song. Actualy this song is anti-drug nod

If U understand my color, Put your hand in your crotch,,,fucking classic headbang

I'm just wondering who played besides him!

I definately feel ya on this, Harle! It would have been perfect on 1999 or even on Purple Rain to me. It would have also made a great B-side. I loved Purple music from the first time I ever heard it.

Why in "Extra Loveable" does Prince ask Dez if "he likes his band?"

DEZ WAS VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE WAY THINGS WERE GOING AND HE WAS CHANGING INTO A MORE "RELIGIOUS" PERSON,WHICH CAUSED CONFLICT WITH WHAT THE PRINCE BAND WAS ABOUT.(ABOOT,IF YOU'RE CANADIAN)

THESE SONGS ARE GREAT AND THEY CAPTURE THAT ERA PERFECTLY.I HOPE,SOMEDAY,TO HEAR EVERYTHING CREATED DURING THE DIRTY MIND/CONTROVERSY/1999 ERA.THERE ARE MANY VERY CLEAR COPIES FLOATING AROUND OF THESE TUNES.IF I WERE A "VERY NECESSARY" BOOTLEGGER,I'D GET THEM TO YOU.HOWEVER,I'M JUST A LONELY FAN PEON WHO DRINKS TOO MUCH VANILLA SMIRNOFF.

Didn't someone say on a previous thread that Purple Music was to be released as a 12" b side but Prince changed his mind? Great track, I believe there are two versions of this song.
