I was listening to Aerosmiths "Train Kept A Roll'in" and imagined Prince doing a WaY Funked Up version complete with his own Guitar Licks With Larry G on Bass and Johnny B on Drums.
Steven Tyler has much respect for Prince.

that would be interesting. remember yardbirds did train too and its an old blues song i think. but basiclaly its known as an aerosmith song! aerosmith are my fave band and got me into music seriously as opposed to buying NOW compilations (or getting them from my mother) and listening strictly to the beatles aside from that. where did you hear tyler has much respect for prince? thats cool!

I had never heard Aerosmith and Prince mentioned in the same sentence until Garth Brooks was doing the alter ego thing with Chris Gaines personna. Well before the Chris Gaines thing fell flat there was supposed to be a Movie in the works about this Chris Gaines (rock star) Anyway Garth always dreamed of Aerosmith and Prince jamming on stage together. He was ready to do whatever, to make it happen in the movie about Chris Gaines. But Garth dropped the whole Chris Gaines thing so it never happened.
A year or two later I read that Steven Tyler was trying to get Prince to perform together during an upcoming Super Bowl halftime show. I never heard of why Prince did'nt go for it, but it seemed that Steven was pretty persistant and really wanted Prince to do it.

So that tells me Steven Tyler admires Prince and wants to get him back in the limelight where he belongs.

I think it would be GREAT~ P would get some respect among the Guitar Rock Fans. If it was'nt there before...
