Help needed concerning unreleased tracks!

This weekend I decided to carry out the long overdue task, of backing up my entire Prince collection at 256KB onto discs, in case the house ever burned down.

A long task this was, but I got there. 16 gig of every bit of material (not including the live stuff!) released and not released, that I believe to be out there.

To help categorise it, I filed it by year, but I have a few tracks I cannot place. My DOW and DMSR are stored at my parents house, and I can't get to them in a hurry.

So I turn to you!

Can someone tell me details of the follwing:

Firstly, which tracks are real? If they are, can you tell me the year, and in some cases, the collaborator?

1. My Lord
2. Naughty
3. If I have a Harem
4. Help Me baby
5. Go
6. Sleazy
7. My Pony
8. I Could be your lover
9. 1000 hugs and kisses
10. Moments
11. Strange Way Of saying I love U
12. Lust U Always
13. Qualified Kiss
14. Letter 2 miles
15. Livin In America
16. People Without (Studio instrumental)

Please help, this will help me big time!

Good work fella.

I'm convinced that Qualified Kiss, If I had a Harem, My Lord and Livin In America are fakes. But its hard to tell.

Anyone else with info, I'd be grateful.

The studio version of If I Had A Harem is very different to the Lovesexy Live version. The studio version is in a rockabilly style like Jack U Off or Delirious. If your version sounds like this it is not a fake.

As I said previously , Qualified Kiss is by a band called MOna Lisa. There was no Prince involvement but some bootleggers started putting this track on Cds and passing it off as a Prince Outtake. So yes , it is a fake.

Sorry, one more addition to my list.

I have 5 unreleased versions of come. One is a bit suspect.

It crystal clear, start with an alternative version of Orgasm, them mixes (very well) into the video version of the song. But as this ends, the NPG operator cuts on before the song concludes with the last 4 mins of the album cut.

At first I though "Fan mix", but it mixes very well, and the quality of the video mix is better than any previous versions.

Fan mix?

Official mix ! No details for it though. There were a few mixes of this song around 93-94

Don't quote me but I think it may be a mix from the Glam Slam Ulysses sessions. I would have to listen to it again.

"My Lord" is not a fake track. It's part of the bootleg set called "Rude Boy" (track 1) and, while not listed in Turn It Up 2.0, it's definitely a P track with vocals. It sounds like a demo or a work in progress, but it's a P track for sure.

My Lord is so fake it's the Mayor of Fake-Town.

If I'm not mistaken, it was recorded in 86, right?

My Pony is a George Clinton collaboration
I'm told that Lust U Always is an instrumental that's actually called 'Divinity' and whoever passed it on 2 the bootleggers called it that 2 make it sound more interesting!
Letter 4 Miles was recorded the day after Miles died with Michael Bland. Hope this helps Jam x
