The only reason I'm highlighting this issue is because in a community like this, it's very easy for idiots to feel like they are achieving something worthwhile, by maliciously spreading their discontent (rooted in their own issues with their own lives, not Prince's). Of course, at times critiscm is warranted but there is a means to being constructive, if you really care.

Like I said before, some people really are too fucking dumb, or poorly brought up, to get it. Think about it, people actually label themselves here as Fiverpercenter, or EvilWhiteMale. Does that sound healthy to you?

Like another friend said, feed the masses a sex-obsessed, base rockstar (who just so happens to have the funk licks) and you're left with so called fans crying about The Rainbow Children or N.E.W.S. because it doesn't sound like what they know. or think is good. The unfortunate thing is that we're left to deal with the cry babies.

Do you think Prince is still an optimist? It's surprising that even now (when he wants to retire from the public eye), he still has to deal with such bullshit amongst many of his own so-called fans e.g. Alex Hahn. I'm surprised that he manages to put up with it, and still want to share his most personal gift - the music. And as for anyone who thinks it would be 'beneficial' for Prince to go on talk shows such as Howard Stern, you simply do not understand what Prince has or wants to offer us.

I'm not sure I would be too happy in his shoes, knowing how some of his following think. The sad thing is, I already know what some of you fools are going to say. Given that you still come here, take a moment to think about what you are actually saying. Perhaps, you shouldn't be here afterall. And you say you want a Celebration? To celebrate what exactly? You spend almost all your time here behaving as miserable, low life, fucks. We all know who you are. The question is, do you know what you've become?

It's amusing how you try to paint a picture of anyone who crtiticizes Prince as some miserable low-life who's bottomed out.Simply because they say something that ruffles your feathers, you have to tack on a bunch of other awful assumptions about them. I think if you met many of us in person you would get a major reality check. Instead of playing a part-time psychologist, trying to read everyone on here, maybe you should go see one yourself.

Why wouldn't I get excited about a Paisley party? I'm a huge Prince fan, DUH.

Stymie explained why my access to the club this year was temporarily (we're talking a couple of hours) suspended. Someone had posted that they didn't join until after the "Reflection" song was put up in the Reflection room, so I offered to send it to them, b/c I LOOOVE that song and wanted others to hear it...especially other paying members. I didn't realize that was against the rules, since we're talking about someone who paid their dues just like the rest of us.

However, since the Paisleys explicitly made it clear to me that was not acceptable behavior, I haven't done anything like that since...or at least I haven't talked about it in the club. [That's called owning up to one's behavior, Anji...you might want to give it a whirl.]

For the record, I've had conversations by PM with the main Paisleys (you know which ones I mean) and although they feel that sometimes I am rude and brash, they also respect and acknowledge my immense love for the music. I'm not in the least bit ashamed or afraid to say who I am. I'm someone who has vocally and financially supported Prince's art for going on 20 years, and I will continue to do so.

Prince is still an optimist! The older and more mature he gets he makes wisers choices that he benefits from. (Example: becoming independent from a record co. and making the majority of the money he deserves from sales! The pessimists are those same fools (they know who they are , or maybe they don't) who have the nerve to still check a prince forum daily, talk a grip of shiznit and then conjure up dreams of seeing Prince on a ShockJock radio show. That's backwards ass, IMO. Prince is still dedicated to the music. That's good for the ones like some of us who really appreciate it! I am personally in between OPTI & PESSI... I am pejimistic. Hard to explain, but it's a pimp thang...

some will advance with him and others won't. that's alright.
i look at things a bit different. the fans who are negative
a lot don't bother me. that's their style...i prefer to be
more upbeat,thoughful and respectful. if U notice i don't
spend too much time "slamming" my fellow orgers...i give praise (props when i like something said) those viewpoints
