I love the layers in Lovesexy, It has certianly grown on me recently, it is in my top 3 albums.. I got in2 the black album first tho, and its got some great jams.. Its got a amazing feel, cause I assume there wouldnt be a lovesexy, without a black album.. (That could get deep)

Seems like the overly critical people are the sheep now days. It takes guts to admit that you like something. -Rdhull ...it ain't where ya from, it's where ya at... - Rakim

the black album. Lovesexy is a bit overrated. Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. - Lord Acton

Lovesexy by a nose.
But!!! The biggest mistake by Warners & Prince was the Black Album release. The Black Album should have been released in March 1988 with the original promotion scheme cooked up by Prince followed by a June 1988 release of the Lovesexy album. The 2 singles from each album would be chosen.Le Grind & Superfunkacalifragasexy.Lovesexy & Alphabet Street or Anna Stesia from the Lovesexy album. The spoken intro to Black is classic!

Lovesexy hands down. The Black Album is at the very opposite end of my favorites. Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.
