Which do you prefer?

The Black Album.

I used to think that I really liked Lovesexy but I gave it a listen the other day and I couldn't help but notice that about half of the album is VERY weak and very dated.

they are both pretty weak compared to his other albums, but my opinion is, Annastesia, When 2 R N Love, I Wish U Heaven are classic P jams.

LOVESEXY 4EVER...INCREDIBLE SOUNDS ON THIS CLASSIC ALBUM. EVENTHOUGH THE BLACK ALBUM HAS SOME GREAT FUNK AS WELL

Lovesexy is his best album.

The Black Album was better as a bootleg.

I love LS (especially the b-sides), but TBA is where it's at for me, that's one of my favourite Prince time-periods, post SOTT pre LS.

I have to say that no matter what Lovesexy will always hold a special place with me. Because when he did the tour here, on the second night Wendy and Lisa joined him on stage and I was there 10th row right on the floor and there THEY were!! It was amazing!!!

'Lovesexy',of course


Let's be honest,'The Black Album' has it's moments,but in the end,it's just a funky party record.The lyrics throughout aren't particularly memorable,and it all sounds like it was recorded very quickly.

'Lovesexy',on the other hand,is a deep,introspective album,with meaningful lyrics and lots of drama.The title track alone rivals anything on 'The Black Album'.
