Know what? I scare myself sometimes.... here i am, knowin all i know about ol' boy and what he did way back when...and i'm almost 23 years old. think about it: around the time i wuz conceived, the prince album wuz still hot...and by the time i wuz born dirty mind had only been out for like a couple months. 
it's shocking, really: i could be sittin here, fresh on the scene of prince-dom, hummin "diamonds and pearls" or any of his '90s crap and comin here on the org, lookin at all the old-skoolers' testimonials and sittin in front of my pooter like, "ohmigod, he wore that onstage??? what a dork!" without knowin anything that entailed a certain era. but, here i am... my fave album is dirty mind. my fave bootlegged shows are ritz '81, houston '81 & '82, and detroit '82 & '86. i have no trouble findin all these old-skool pix for folks who ask me. ...all this, and i'm only 22 years old and have only been a prince freek for 8 years. sometimes i feel as if i shouldn't know so frickin much about p's work. i scare me.  | |

j/k ... but ive only been a fan for 4 years & the amount of bootlegs i have... all the albums.. singles i have... it is quite weird. but a cool weird

I am 23 and when I was conceived I think the self titled Prince lp was out, so it's only natural that I was born a freak  (from all the stories I hear about the yr 79)... I'm just glad I was old enough to remember most of Prince in his Prime years (84-87) I remember when my mom took me 2 see under the cherry moon at the drive in and I cried at the end ( I was only 6)
I said mom is Prince dead fur real ...
Anyways Hands I can most definetly related to ur words I know more about Prince older stuff then the newer stuff and my favorite album is countroversy/1999. I bought the cassette tape when it was released as a double feature

However, I sometimes think that you front with this "WHO?" thang when it comes to 2day's artists(if you want me 2 be honest witcha) Like who in hell would mistake Jill Scott 4 Angie Stone?
