The problem with Stern is that,he's not really gonna discuss music.I've seen him interview other reocrding artists, and he seems to be focused more on tabloid shit.He would surely ask Prince questions like these...

"So,did you bang Apollonia during the filming of "Purple Rain"?

"What does Carmen taste like?"

"Do short guys have small penises?"

"What do you think Tommy Lee has that you don't?"

"What's it like prancing around in high heels?"

Now,honestly,do you think Prince would wanna sit up there with a fake smile on his face,as he tries to answer absurd questions like that? I have to admit,it would be fun to see smile

But isn't the brotha good with mindgames and stuff like these? LOL I think that he will tease Stern like he did to Vernoica Webb back in the day, remember that interview? lol

I agree that it would be a blast to hear Prince on Howard's show. Howard is a huge Prince fan and he recently said his favorite song from the last 25 years was "Purple Rain". He's said from time to time over the years how much of a genius he thinks Prince is and how much he likes his music. So I think Howard would treat him with respect and a bit of admiration.

But I think Prince would think it was "below him" to do the Stern show and he might worry that Stern would get him to reveal a bit more than he wanted to. Prince seems to like his interviews fairly predictable and structured and Howard would be asking Prince all kinds of sexual questions that Prince probably wouldn't be into answering considering he's so religious now.

I agree that if he played it right, it'd make him look like a "regular guy" to an extent and not such an eccentric. But Prince is pretty eccentric and I don't know if he could act that "normal" in that kind of situation

Lenny Kravitz has done Howard's show quite a few times and Paul McCartney did it last year. They both came off great and maybe Prince would too if he gave it a chance.

Plus Howard has such a huge audience that Prince could plug a new album or the NPGMC and make a lot of money from the appearance as well.

.

Yeah,I know Prince is good with mindgames but going on Stern's show would be unchartered territory for him. With Stern, there are no rules and he would ask Prince all types of uncomfortable questions.Besides, now that Prince is a JW,I don't think he really wants to talk about things like sex and all the women he has slept with in the past.

If Howard could help get polititians elected, he could get Prince some recognition. Prince's music will still suck, but maybe the boost of attention could help steer him back into the right direction.

...The bottom line with Howard is - dotn fuck him over. ie: dont 4get u are on HIS territory, and he'll respect u. As someone else has already pointed out - Lenny KravitZ and Paul McCartney did great shows with him, and they paid off. If Howard knows u are 'game' and 'on board' - sure, he'll tease, partly out of tittilation (hell, it IS radio - and it makes 4 great radio!) but also just 2 see HOW far each guest CAN be pushed.
There are many sides 2 Mr Stern, and 2 be honest, I dont think he would rip Prince 2 shreds AT ALL...

I think Howard would respect Prince. He loves his music and the women he banged. It would be a great interview. Everytime i heard Howard talk about Prince he said good things.

Howard has 20 Million listeners..

That number is closer to 5 million now. And that's according to CBS, so it might even be high! An LA paper estimated his audience was around 3 to 4 million.

Yeah, I'm a former Stern fanatic and now I live to bash the show because Howard has become the kind of pathetic self absorbed celeb he used to bash. He's turning into a combo of Hugh Hefner and Rush Limbaugh and it's sad. It all steamed back from when he divorced Allison and then fired Jackie (IMHO because some would say that Jackie quit...long story).

Without getting to much into my rant, it wouldn't help Prince to go on the Stern show at all because not only his audience much smaller but many of those people are like me that listen to the show only to bash it! It certainly would not make him more popular. Even when the show was a success. Howard was never a smashing success at promoting other celebs movies, albums, etc.

I remember when MJ was considering going on Howard's show.It would been interesting indeed. But MJ instead chose to do that stupid Diane Sawyer interview.

are you serious? Howard would have had him crying, could you imagine stuttering john, howard and artie teasing him about little boys? haha. howard can't stand MJ, he said when he met MJ 'there wasn't too much in the head'.. MJ better be glad he chose Sawyer

Excuse me, but when did you start listening to the show? You poor thing. You have no frame of refrence from when the show was great!

Jackie was on the show back then and I'm sure if MJ did the show back then, Jackie would write some great questions for him other than "So, have done anal?". If anything MJ would have been laughing at how bad Artie sucks!

A little rockin performance would be off the hook on there as well. Cuz as it is, no one is really listening to Prince cuz he's an underground artist now. The only way to remain in the spotlight is to get out there and be seen and heard. But I guess he doesn't want it anymore.

Next topic nothing. It would be a bold and smart move on Prince's part. It would show that he's not afraid to answer the "real" questions we'd all like answered, and it would also show us that he's got an ounce of coolness left in him. He would never go on the show cuz he's afraid.

And besides, Howard isn't a jerk. He's a real talented dude who gets to the real nitty gritty, instead of just kissing the ass of every celebrity that walks in there. Plus, he gets major celebs and personalities on his show. So to be on there is actually a pretty big deal.

Howard Stern is an asshole, period. As is Marilyn Manson. At least Howard is funny ,though that has nothing to do with him being an asshole. As far as "coolness" ,once again ,it figures you would relate the word to Stern.rolleyes

One of Howard's guys caught up to Prince at the "back to Prince" name change press conference. He first asked him who would win in a fight, him or Michael Jackson. Prince laughed and said MJ is a lover, not a fighter. Then the guy asked him why he was such a sissy in Purple Rain. Prince suddenly looked sad and then his security got him out of there.

I mean damn, it was a dumb question but he could have at least been a man and told the guy to go fuck himself. Prince is waaayyy too sensitive.

Did you guys catch this on Howard's TV show?

There is too much hate in Stern's humor for Prince to stoop to his level and appear on his show. I find that I actually lose a little respect for some of the peiople that appear on his show - especially some blak celebrities. I love Chris Rock and he is a comedian so I suppose he wants the publicity and the challenge of facing Stern - even though he, like all black men that appear on the show (including Lenny Kravitz), have to face degrading questions about the sexuality of black men for the sake of entertaining insecure white men that are Stern flunkies. These types of questions would surely be thrown in Prince's face. "What was it like to bang Kim basinger and SHeena Eason and Carmen Electra?" Could you see Prince's face if heard that?

Whateva! ya'll should know betta, Stern is a pussy with a flip-flop attitude. I still remember that "the artist that people formerly cared about" bullshit he was trying 2 put every night. But when the Rave 2000 aired in TVs, he was screaming the other day like a groupie bitch hyping a brotha's pre4mance.

Prince kept his head up and replied :"The people who really know the music don't joke about it. A lot of black people don't joke about it because they understand wanting to change a situation that you find yourself in."

So,,FUCK STERN BIG TIME!

Hey guys-u are actually witnessing a Stern naysayer...wow here in the ORG, what a strange creature in this far out land. How did he get here...

Its funny, Stern naysayers always say the same shit: "Ahh-since the divorce-yadda-yadda-yadda...Jackie martling blah, blah,... Just like Prince naysayers always complain about the same shit (granted I've complained about alot of the same shit with the PRINCE naysayers).
