I kinda liked the O(+> period After the name change, and before all the Slave crap, that was a real nice, fun period for Prince.
He seemed to be producing some real good music, something contemporary, yet different, yet not what he had done before. It was fun to be a kid who liked this freaky music that other folks didn't get, yet you knew it was shit hot! The Gold Experience was a great album and deserved to do what D&P did, it's a shame that Prince didn't push it as much as D&P because I think it was as contemporary, yet different enough, as D&P was in 1991. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Gold is 10x better than D&P. I was doing a compilation for someone recently and couldn't pick more than a couple of songs off D&P that still impress me that much, There's plenty on TGE though.I still thing TGE is his best album since SOTT. | |
