I like them both actually...

But if I had to choose, I'd pick TGE.

as an album,Gold of course.
but C&D has some killer separate trax.

hard 2 really compare.

& each has a couple of songs which ruin it from being perfect 4 me.

Gold: we march/BjB

C&D: DigUBetterDead/into The Light-I Will (they r beautiful but i have 2 b in the mood 4 them.

THE GOLD EXPERIENCE

(I mean, hello? Is there a choice? Crap & Dung is his second worst album after "NEWS").

Gold Experience by quite a stretch

Chaos is a solid album too, though.

Gold, as i said elsewhere,I think is his most consistantly entertaining album since SOTT.C&D has 4 good tracks at the beginning, the rest is awful.

It's alright, I got a demo of it somewhere that pisses all over the released version.

The Gold Experience.

TGE is a proper 'album' in the truest sense of the word.
C&D is just a collection of songs.

TGE ranks up there as one of Prince's best albums.
C&D does have some great tracks, but overall contains
less 'class A' material.

TGE easily. Chaos was nice if only because Prince remembered he could play guitar, but Gold has some flat out classic stuff on it.

Gold, is the better of the two. Chaos is a cracking little album which doesn't get the love it deserves. True its got the truly awful I rock therefore I am on there, but apart from that its fine.
Gold, although it suffers from its inclusion of the likes of We March and the exclusion of such classics as Days Of Wild is an excellent album, which could and should have been a great one.

After a while, I REALLY began to love C&D. The Gold Album was o.k., but too preachy and commercial for my Prince tastes. I Hate U was good and Billy Jack Bitch, my favorite, but that's about it.

I truly believe that if the Gold Album ,as it was known in 1994,would have been released in the Summer of 94,the problems of the last 9 years would not have existed.

Pussy Control:This played at a club recently and everyone got up."Is that the new song by Prince ?"

Endorphinmachine:The pre-tinkering version was jaw-dropping.

Dolphin: What can I say ?

319: Pure Prince.

Shy: Before TRC in 2001 the last true "Damn,Prince!" song.

TMBGITW: Hella song .

I Hate U: The last top 10 hit.

Gold :Purple Rain for the 90's

What could have been ?
Sigh.
