so at like midnight i got a call that something might be going on. cuz you know chaka khan was here at the gathering.

insider told me that he went to the show. knew he wouldn't miss her.anyway got out there at about two. not very many people more like a reunion of sorts of all the regulars. was nice seeing them. the handfull.

he never showed his handsome face. so disappointed yes i was. but all in all quess it is always good to be there. always wierdly enough feels comfortable like home. maybe i have been going out there too much. anyway just thought some would like a little update. maybe there will be a real party like in the days. but then again everything comes to an end. right?
just one of those things that you wish wouldn't though.

he wanted to jam with chaka, as i hear but she was tired and declined. oh well.

The "BEST" news about this is that prince is opening up PP again. The vibe/tradition is returnng...Thats the "important" thing, NOT that he "always" appears, (although THAT is very nice when HE does) or that he jams. It has been depressing 4 most NOT 2 be able 2 enjoy this beautiful building, rich with the history of prince, as it sat dormant 4 quite a while. It was definately sad! Hopefully prince will continue letting ppl visit on a regular basis, AND IF he knows U APPRECIATE this, and RESPECT the premises, ( that means "no taking things not belonging 2 U" ) he will probably continue 2 do so, but what has gone down in the past & has been said about this generous man, usually AFTER one of these "get togethers" at PP, one needs not wonder why he had no incentive 2 invite these ppl into HIS studios 4 so long! IT IS a privledge. Not 2 say there werent "other" factors involved in princes life that COULD have contributed 2 the situation, but hopefully all the ppl harboring all that negativity AT THAT TIME ( & U know who U R ) have learned, & will appreciate what could have been a Minneapolis/prince traditional event never taking place again! PEACE...

i think you are correct. when you have something for so long you grow almost to forget how to be thankful.

hopefully the trust value can be acheived again and he will open the park once again to play. all in a positive way.all in all i am always glad to be there even when he has not shown or played.
