The best album of 1992 was Meshell Ndegeocello's "Cookie." If you have not heard this album, as a Prince fan, you need to hear it ASAP!!! She is definitely the female Prince and all the songs on this album could've easily been done by His Royal Badness. As one reviewer said of the album: "It's the album that Prince has been trying to do for years..." (OUCH!! But true).

So, I put forth this question (realizing that it's been asked countless times before):

What artist(s) would you most like to see Prince work with...now more than ever...and why?

(And PLEAZZZEEE...do not say Jay-Z (smile))

Yo!!!
I purchased that album last summer after I read that same review. I hadn't heard a note from it. One listen and I was HOOKED!! I immediatley went out and purchased her previous 3 albums and they are all AMAZING!! She is now my 2nd favorite artist. Technically, they've already worked 2gether. The song we've come 2 know as EMALE on Emancipation started out as a jam with Me'shell in New York. If U look in the liner notes, it says something about being recorded in Minneapolis after "New York paved the way. Thanx Shiva" I guess Shiva is like a nick name 4 her. On her 1994 album "Peace Beyond Passion", there is a track called "God Shiva" Alot of her songs have a Prince flavor 2 it, and even her whole style:sexual freedom, the ongoing struggle between the sacred and the profane, and her hardcore underground status recalls Prince's "Dirty Mind" era when he chose not 2 conform 2 societies ideas, and he only sold that album through word of mouth. It's a shame more people aren't embracing her.

Felix daHousecat
Donna Summer maybe (dunno, if he's still in his neo-soul/ pseudo-jazz phase it wouldn't work, but what about Prince & Donna - produced by Felix love )

I would like to see a Prince Stevie Wonder Collabo, but I'd rather for Prince to work by himself than any of these wannabes like The Neptunes, Lenny, D'Angelo, and especially TTD. Did yall see TTD on the Orlando Jones show the other night? Dude has been studying the Sign O The Times Dances moves a lil to much. I know Prince's dance is heavily influenced by James Brown, but TTD look like he was performing Hot Thing. He also touch on how he changed his name 8 years ago, which was around the time Prince made his desicion. That can't be a coincidence. And his reasons for changing his name were to indentical.

Did he work with Nelly Furtado? If not, then that would be a good choice.
