I'd like to see him work with Basement Jaxx too, and David Bowie, Beck, Busta Rhymes... people that'll bring something "different" to his music.

that's what I'm saying...I think those artists would bring such a fresh sound to Prince that it'd knock us all over...

Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I would love to hear him write a couple up-tempo dance tracks and then give them to Basement Jaxx to do final production and mixing...it'd be a dream come true for me...

That would be cool too. Beck would be nice as well (better said the Dust Brothers)...

loveroflife71 said:[quote]The best album of 1992 was Meshell Ndegeocello's "Cookie." If you have not heard this album, as a Prince fan, you need to hear it ASAP!!! She is definitely the female Prince and all the songs on this album could've easily been done by His Royal Badness. As one reviewer said of the album: "It's the album that Prince has been trying to do for years..." (OUCH!! But true).

So, I put forth this question (realizing that it's been asked countless times before):

What artist(s) would you most like to see Prince work with...now more than ever...and why?

(And PLEAZZZEEE...do not say Jay-Z (smile))[/quote

LaMont says:
I love this chick. Dont know if I would call her female Prince - I think its still Teena Marie. Was that album 1992? I am sure it is not that old. And Prince did make that album - its called The Rainbow Children or Sign of the Times.

Me'Shell N'Degeocello! Except give her considerable control in the production. It shouldn't be a Prince joint only.

Ani Difranco. nod music but only if it's a true collaboration. For some reason I can't see him making a true collaboration with a man, but if he were up to it, he should work with Outkast.

If prince listens to Jay-Z and makes that cut, that would be hella phuckin tight. Although I would like better to see him work with other artist, this hook-up seems the easiest at the moment, cuz although Jay does spit that Ho, Money, bitches thing at times, he usually has some cuts on his album with xtremely intelligent and sometimes spiritual subjects/messages and I think Prince knows that.

I would like to see Prince collaberate/write music for a modern day fresh face like Beyonce Knowles. It would be interesting to see him pen music for the mainstream like he used too.

Janet needs to work with P. She's always been a fan since the Dirty Mind days. James Brown would be a nice collaboration, but i'm sure after the 83' incident he doesn't want to embarrass himself further
