Prince will never sing again

Stories on the web are stating that Prince has suffered severe problems with his throat and that he is unable to sing as he once did. Apparantly his style of singing, in particular his screaming, over the years have caused the problem.

It is believed that the move to instrumental music is a reflection of this problem.

Such sad news.

Not to be rude, but your shocking news announcement would be a lot more credible if you'd cite the sources behind these "stories" on the Web.

Because, you know, I can go find other "stories on the Web" that state Prince eats handfulls of live bees, had a rib removed so he could pleasure himself orally, and stomped on someone's sand dollar just to be a creep.

Get my drift?

BTW, I personally doubt Prince's throat and/or voice is damaged. He'll sing again when he wants to.

Yeah, and I recently read that Prince will be producing the upcoming Guns N Roses album, which will be exclusively available at NPGMC, in the Axl room.

I don't buy this at all. He has one of the strongest voices out there. His pitch and tone is perfect. Also, considering the fact that he uses alot of falsetto or alters the vocals lines live, his voice will last forever. Total BS!

That's really funny, on the ONA tour last year he gave away the BEST performance of The Beautiful Ones in years in the Antwerp Sportpaleis.

Don't beleive this shit, it's just an instrumental phase. Listen to Reflection...

Well, according to this link, the reason that we've had so much instrumental music recently is because, after NEWS, he will only be recording a cappella for the rest of his career.

I can't even bear to think what his albums will sound like with no more instrumentation ever sad

It's obviously a choice he made, for whichever reason. Some like it, some don't. I don't like it, but I don't think I would've gotten NEWS regardless of whether he'd sung on it, I think the music he makes now sucks, but each to their own.

The scream y'all talking about could very well have been put there from a DAT recorded ages ago, I'm not saying that's the case but just pointing it out.

He doesn't sing now. I don't like it. My twocents

So, Prince doesn't sing on his instrumental albums; that makes sense, they're instrumentals afterall. The curious thing though is that you think Prince has stopped singing because of his beliefs. You mentioned this in the chatroom. I find that an incredible conclusion based on the evidence.

I did no such thing. I said that he either felt that he couldn't, or didn't want to sing.

I don't think I mis-read you. Nevertheless, do you have an opinion as to why Prince apparently feels he can't, or doesn't want to sing?

Yeah...And i also heard that P died in '93, was gonna retire in '93, was gonna stop touring in '85, was gonna reunite with W&L in 2000, and was gonna get back togehther with Mayte, ate bees at a cemetary, over-dosed on crack, was pregnant, went out with Latoya Jackson, and that he had his ribs removed.

...So I guess thismust be true too nod

Nope, I don't give a shit why he doesn't do it, unless it's because of problems with his voice I think it's BS, just like the music he's making now. That's all I got to say on it, u like it and I don't. Easy and simple.
