Prince's Love Thy Will Be Done is better than his version of Nothin Compares 2 U!! some one dare tell me it isnt. It's true. LTWBD as sung by Prince is really cool. I can't stand his version of NC2U. The Family version is the shit. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

I'm just the opposite. I like his version of NC2U better than LTWBD. Of course, both are great songs and he does a great job with them. I don't care for The Family's version of NC2u. It seems empty to me. Besides, I'm not a huge fan of Paul whining to sing the notes. It is a bit high for his register. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I love the "love thy will b done" version.
Just 2 let u know NEFRETIRI, Prince does the song to the "One Of Us" drum loop,(or, to be correct, Prince took the "Love Thy Will B Done" loop and used it on "One Of Us") and the soft synth lead line featured on the Martika track is replaced on the Prince version with a killer distorted guitar that would send a chill up u're spine! I'd rather hear Martika's version of "love...". Prince's version on every boot I've heard, the sound is too muddled for it to be enjoyable. Besides, I think the song sounds much more natural in a female voice.
I like his version of NC2U on the hits, but it's not exactly greatness personified. | |

I cue up LTWBD everytime! The layered voices gets me, something almost magical about it. Great song! Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. I LOVE Prince's version of "Love Thy Will Be Done"! This always shows up on my list of favorite boots, but I don't see many others giving it its due. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the man is the master at building up musical tension and releasing the rapturous gasm! This song gets me every time.

Love Thy Will Be Done, as performed live circa 1995 is one of my all time favourite prince tracks. Those searing guitar solos jus take the song to a completely different level. I quite like the studio boot from '91, but i prefer the NPG one recorded for the Exodus album. That really showed the song to its full potential.
