when were these songs made? was kinda wondering when these songs were made:
-an honest man -cloreen bacon skin -good love -make yo mama happy -splash i know they were either released on the crystal ball set or through the npgmc in the late 90's, but when (in what year) did prince and crew write and record 'm? don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine

I think An Honest Man was recorded in 1985, possibly for the Parade album.
Cloreen Bacon Skin was probably recorded sometime in 1983 during sessions for The Time's Ice Cream Castle album. Good Love was probably recorded some time in 1986 and was originally going to be on the Camille album, before that was shelved. Splash was recorded in August 1985 Make Yo Mama Happy was recorded in 1986 | |

An Honest Man - 30th Nov 1985 ('Mountains' was recorded the same day) Cloreen Bacon Skin - 26th-27th March 1983 ('Jungle Love' & 'My Summertime Thang' recorded in the same session) Good Love - Oct/Nov 1986 (Entire 'Camille' album recorded in this period) Make Your Mama Happy - 6th-8th Aug 1986 ('Hot Thing' & 'Forever In My Life' recorded in the same session) Splash - Aug 1985 ('Sexual Suicide' & 'Empty Room' recorded in the same session. As well as 2 still unreleased tracks - 'My Sex' & 'Go'.) . | |
