I know it was originaly writtend 4 Apollonia 6 and then offered 2 The Bangles. But the track doesn't sound like a Prince-song at all.

Prince wrote it for the Apollonia 6 lP, but they turned it down and replaced for Mr.Christian, which is the weekest track on the whole lp, what a stupid decision 2 make, Apollonia 6 would've had 2 hits 2 their name instead of just one

its in the same timing and very similar melody, most likely why prince didnt use it himself really.

Prince wasn't gonna waste too many good songs on a
band that wasn't real. Apollonia was an actress
employed for the Purple Rain movie and subsequent
post-promotion and touring. It wasn't a 'proper band'
like Vanity 6.
