I like it but it makes me ask what the official artwork looks like? I'm sure other people have seen it but I still haven't.

Not missing a whole lot - the cover is basically a satellite photograph of Earth, with the N*E*W*S* logo in a silver bold logo. Not ugly, but not particularly dynamic.

Try the program called COVERXP. You can download it for free. I've never actually used it yet, (although I have downloaded it) but there is a way to configure covers to the correct jewel case size. Hope this helps!!

The NEWS CDs packaging is in 2 pieces, an outer slipcase
(with the satellite photo of earth and the title)
and an inside CD tray which folds out the way it's shown
on that photograph.

Well, as per usual with recent Prince releases, there are VERY few credits. The ones that are included are on the little cardboard fold-out flaps. It's a nice "special edition" cover, like one of the Radiohead special editions.

If the retail version isn't a more normal, CD-like case, I won't be buying this for the family like I thought I would. I'd feel weird giving someone such an awkward, flimsy cardboard thing.

The cover isn't NewPowerSoul or One Nite Alone barf-inspiring, but it sho ain't Sign O' The Times or Around the World in a Day neither...
