on the one nite alone third cd, theres a song called girlfriend is it prince singing it or who?

I actually don't know what this track is on ONA. It's a song called "girlfriend" from an artist named Musiq. I think he came out to jam with P on stage. I hate that damn song...it's not inspiring...like most of the crap you hear on the radio these days.

He performed at the 2002 Celebration and guested at the afterparty at 'The World', New York, where the track was recorded.

The song is called 'Just Friends (Sunny)', and it is sung as a medley with Sly Stone's, 'If You Want me To Stay'.

The clue to the name of the song and the performer is ..... on the CD - where it says on the CD liner notes, rear of the jewel case and the CD itself what the tracks are called and who wrote and performed the track.

The song appears on Musiq Soulchild's 2000 CD, 'Aijuswanaseing '.
