you couldn't be more right, lisa! i have told peeps "you just don't understand...its not just a concert". i have met more cool people because of prince's music (you know, a common ground, or sumfin). i'm taking a "first timer" with me to the park tomorrow and i've already warned him that its nothing like what he's ever experienced before. so...another cult member may be on the way! lol

I think the mistake that most of us make is believing that we are an elite group. I don't think we are any different from Bowie fanatics or Miles Davis fanatics, except maybe we are a little more secular and not open to outside views. It will be our undoing, you see.

So, nobody said Bowie fanatics (or Miles freaks) weren't an elite group. One doesn't negate the other.

Well I am saying that they are not elite groups. I am a member of both bowie and miles fan sites and they are a lot more receptive to new comers. It took me ages to even get acknoledged on the prince.org site because i was a "newbie" when I had been listening to prince for longer than half of the astablished members. The bowie and miles fans where not quite a snobby and did not consider themselves elitists. So i yes, one does indeed negate the other.
It were proper bo I tell the!! Bo Selecta!
