The song was originally a techno piece by Mark Forrester, the producer whom Prince met in Australia in April, 1992 whilst touring on 'Diamonds and Pearls'. Prince added to the song and both Diamond (Lori Elle) and Pearl (Robia LaMorte) rapped on the recording. The Library of Congress registration of the song credits words & music to Prince Rogers Nelson, Mark Forrester, Lori Werner & Robia Lamorte on June 16th, 1992. (I presume that the credited Lori Werner is the same as Lori Elle) ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

It was an 'in house' thing and is one of the rarest Prince records there is. Only about 30 were pressed. The ones on ebay must be bootlegs if they're going 4 less than about £300 each.
