I had a chance to sit down and have a milk shake and a snack with one of my other favourite artists. Not as elusive as Prince but when I asked him a question about the band he replied 'not while I'm eating'

On that note I wouldn't expect to get much of a response from Prince about his music. 'Hey dude, so what was the Black Album all about??'

i would say : get in that studio and do something that makes me dance or you aint coming out!

I'd thank him for his music and tell him specifically what I like about it. Then I'd encourage him to continue enjoying what he's doing, or doing what he enjoys. You get the idea.
