This song may be the most original idea he ever had. There is no other song anywhere like this, by anyone. The squeeling sounds burn into you. Then there's the part where it seems Prince is going nutty and he cries a bit. Who says Prince can't do goth.

To me, that seems a bit harsh. Considering the quality of the level of todays so-called "popular" or "radio friendly" music, "N.E.W.S." is miles above anything that is currently playing on the box today!!

The direction is a bit risky on his new disc, but the art itself is glaring!!! One can't demean it's relevance in today's soul-less radio play.

Don't hate on "N.E.W.S."!! It's not for everybody...that's for sure. But, the ones that these cuts are intended for know the truth.
