Regarding my own comments - NO ONE could accuse me of not contributing to this debate. I've posted a lot, I've responded to the points raised and I've had quite a few people agree with me as you'll see. If you aren't one of those people then hey, it's gotta be that way.

By the way, my posts in this thread are my own opinions, and not representative of Prince.org. But I trust you all figured that out anyway.

If you wish to discuss site moderation though - this is not the place to do it. Our site rules clearly state that you may discuss a moderation issue in private with the moderator concerned. I'm certainly more than happy to discuss any concerns or questions you may have so feel free to Orgnote or email me.

Nothing to do with the debates in this thread - however he/she got quite nasty and abusive when warned about flaming behaviour. It wasn't a big deal, a minor flame (see the snip above) but they made a bigger deal out of it so...

Seriously though, the only thing I'm "hating" is people who pretend to be shit that they are not. Say what you fucking think. Don't try to be Prince. Don't try to live your life according to Prince's ideas. Don't try to impress Prince.

I'm a "fan" in the sense that I fucking love Prince's music, that's why I put in mad hours running a Prince fansite such as Prince.org. I'll buy pretty much every piece of music Prince puts out. I won't necessarily love all of it, but there's enough good stuff to make me keep coming back. That all goes without saying. None of that though, alters my ability to formulate my own ideas and opinions. I hate putting labels on people, but we've all seen "purple kool aid drinkers" on the Org and NPGMC. You know, the people who think "opinions" are the same as "dissent" and "dissent" equals "bad". Give me a fucking break I refuse to disengage the bits of brain that question things and formulate original opinions just so I can be perceived as "positive".

I dig NPGMC, but I also recognize that there is a demand, and a need for, independent, unofficial fansites too, to give an independent, broader perspective on things.

I used to have some respect left for the org but it gets harder and harder to do so. This "divide" is so stupid, it's hard to maintain some intelligence & common sense - I am so fed up with Prince-Fam-"haters" - y'all need to get a life - y'all need to leave any Prince site if you don't like the man and his music - and PLEEAAZZZEEE don't talk about how you love him and every other sentence is filled with negativity. And PLEEAAAZZZEEE drop the stuff about those of us who are positive when we post that we are wrong and don't have the guts to make critical comments - maybe that's because we don't have critical things to say about this man. Maybe we admire and appreciate and enjoy him to such a degree that is hard for "haters" to comprehend. Like I said before maybe you all who hate on Prince need to get a life - take a break - get off your "dividing" bandwagon, get a little broader perspective. Hard to believe that you all are adults. Well, come to think of it, I sure don't want to put down children - they are smarter and wiser and more intelligent and broad-minded than any of you who are "hating" on Prince lately so much that you seem stuck in a "war-monger" mentality lately.

Mainly all the people at NPGMC support Prince and Agree with everything that he is doing. Mean while, Some of us have Negative thoughts about Prince here at the org. and i can't even see why you would join something that you actually in a way hated.. Or was it just to spread your hate message. All i know is that i am fan of Prince and i agree with everything he does because it's his music and let him make his music any damn way he wants. Who are you to judge? I totally support Prince and if you call yourself a Prince fan, You should anyway..Same way with Michael Jackson..Shoot if you call yourself a fan of his..Support him..Don't be fake...
