Anyone else popped into the NEWS room to check on their order? Click through to the Order page, and under the track listing is this

"Please Note: The initial demand for N.E.W.S has been so great that we can no longer ship all of the ordered CDs by June 25. We will fulfill as many orders as possible from the initial pressing and then fulfill the remaining orders as soon as more stock arrives. This may not be until mid-July, so please be patient. NPGMC orders will be fulfilled before the CD is available in stores, so this is still the best place to get the N.E.W.S. before the rest of the world."


So quite possibly those people who "misinterpereted" the back order email got it right?
I'm wondering how they are going to decide who they ship to first, and who has to wait. My bet would be for the international orders to be bumped in favour of the US orders.

It's to be expected, this kinda thing always happens with Prince.

It's not malicious, he's just a shite businessman.

I think he has his head in the clouds a lot and does things on a whim, which leads to delays because he tries to run before he can walk.

It says ALL orders will not be shipped on June 25th which probably means if you ordered it on June 22 or after your cds will not get shipped immediately.

We have listened to it though.

Just got off the phone w/MusicToday, and they advised that they will ship starting tomorrow. The orders will be sent out based on time of placement (according to order number).

So, I think those of us that acted quickly will be included in the first wave of mailings...with those that waited before placing the order in the follow up run.

Just wanted to let you all know.

I came up with order #1 and every order thereafter because shipment begins June 25.



And...yes later it will be distributed to non-members who want it.

promptly on June 19, 20, 21, 22
just as it was intended (circled on calendar released in December 2002)
