Best Opening Prince Lyric On the thread about covers, I wrote that ...
I hitched a ride with a Crazy Horse show girl is the best opening lyric since "I guess I should have known by the way you parked your car sideways that it wouldn't last ..." I was wondering what Prince song released or unreleased has the best opening line to you guys-- i.e, which ones kick ass in the first five seconds because the words are so brilliant. . . . Oh, I like this too! It pitches you right into the storyline and immediately hooks you into the song. No warm up necessary. Shy also does that with: "After a month of just being alone and saying I wonder what LA's thinking, the streets I roam in search of a poem amongst the wild and drinking."
