So, lover, u got all the kids to sing along with such happy-go-lucky, family friendly lyrics as "I tell her the joke, bout the woman, who asked her lover, why is your organ so small? He replied, I didn't realise I wuz playin in a cathedral!" Those kids are probably now smoking crack ands mugging old women. Shame on you. Shame, I say. Shame. | |

I agree. I always thought it was a shame that he wasted such a great song on Batman. If he had just changed the line "all is well in Gotham city" he could have used it on a less commercial venture. Instead this song got buried in an album whose top song was made up from samples from the damn movie. As far as I'm concerned "Vickie Waiting" should have been a single and a number 1 hit, not "Batdance".   Proud member of Prince's cult for 20 years! | |

But I also like The Future, Electric Chair, and Trust. Batdance has not aged very well. It was awesome when it came out though. | |

Electric Chair is my fav with Vicki Waiting following a close second.
Who can forget the 15th anniversary of SNL with Prince playing the Electric Chair ! My biggest wish is for the still unreleased version of Vicki Waiting (the one in the movie) to be released !!! | |

My favorite song is "Batdance".That song is amazing!! Yeah,I know it's made up of samples from the movie dialogue and features lines from other songs on the album,but somehow the whole thing just WORKS.Includes a killer guitar solo too. | |

Those are my pics but I enjoy "The Arms Of Orion" as well becuase while its almost of spoof of those big duets in the eighties made for movies, it is so much more passionate than them you can't help but get into it! | |

What a song...the singing...the keyboards(do ya realise that there are a lil' off-key keyboard phrases in the song but it sounds great...you have to listen very closely) Remember it in the credits of the movie at the very end.
