EAST You'll have to give it up for East. Blackwell is kicking and Prince is killing the guitar. Everyone wanted something that was edgy and this one is sharp as a tack. A lot of you'll want to hear Rave or Gold or something like that, but I'm ready to let this new direction vibe for a while. When he was doing the madhouse stuff we all wanted more and now that he's doing the jazz stuff you'll are trippin. y'all can call me a fool then... I mean, TRC .. one of the best work of art created by ANY musician??! So it's in the same league as let's say... Let's Get It On / Marvin Gaye ... I like TRC but I hate all this over-kill in regards to that or any other new album P comes with. TRC may be his 6th or 7th best, but his best? Come on. We're talking about Prince here and when you say best or even one of the best, you going head up with some of the greatest albums of all-time. Prince has set a standard that even he has trouble matching at this point in his career. Most likely Prince will never put out another record as good as SOTT, 1999 or Lovesexy but that's ok. I hear you on that, but I do believe that The Rainbow Children, Dirty Mind, SOTT, and Emancipation are truly great and I'd put TRC on the top of that list. Some may say that another album is and that is great, but the point is that this was one of the greatest albums by one of the greatest artists of all time. | |

hype is the keyword!!! anyway I still do think Prince may one day release an album as good as the ones you listed... but as MisterMaxx would say that's IMHO. -------------------------------------------------
