Can anyone shed some light on this? I got into a discussion with this guy on another website and he said that he saw Prince in London in the early 80s at an aftershow jam and that The Time were also there.
I thought that Prince only played one gig at the Lyceum in London in the early 80s and didn't return until the Parade tour in '86. I've never seen it documented that Prince played with The Time, in London in the early 80s. Does anyone know anything about this?

You are right.

I've never seen it documented that Prince played with The Time, in London in the early 80s. Does anyone know anything about this? Prince played The Lyceum on June 2, 1981 - and The Time did not perform. This was his first and only performance in London. He next took the stage in London at Wembley Arena in 1986. The Time did not perform at the Lyceum. Of course, Jerome Benton was in the line-up in 1986 (dancing with Wally Safford and Greg Brooks) at the three Wembley Arena dates, but that's the closest this other guy got to seeing The Time perform on stage with Prince in London during the '80s. ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.
