Acknowledge Me: a hot little cut.

I'm rockin' it right now.

Thoughts?

My thoughts are that you are exactly right, although I would refer to it as a "storming heaving bitch of a 'cut'". Apart from that, yes, nail, head, bang, etcetera.

The 'Gold' era produced a vast quantity of great tracks.
In my opinion it was his most prolific, inventive and
consistently great period since the Dream Factory/
Camille/Crystal Ball period in '86.

The songs may have rocked during this era, but the concerts left a little to be desired. Way too many samples at one point!!! sad

That's quite accurate. The Ultimate Live Experience was a shoddy revue due to all the technical glitches originating from Prince's decision to mix the sound onstage himself (a bold yet suicidal move in terms of carreer advancement as a legendary live performer).

It's a persuasive opinion, with the qualifier that 1987 was a great creative period for him as well.

Tell me about it! Prolific indeed...I'm struggling to hold all that leftover material from 1993-1994 on 5 80 minute CD-Rs, alas without much success lol

I'M STILL TRYING TO GET THAT SHORT FILM AGAIN SINCE I LENT IT TO A FRIEND AND SHE LOST IT. IT'S THE ONE WITH NONA GAYE EATING PIZZA AND ACCESSING DIFFERENT EXPERIENCES.

ANYONE KNOW IF IT'S AVAILABLE ON DVD ?

Err? The version of Acknowledge Me in the Beautiful
Experience TV special is IDENTICAL to the released
version (the TV special version just fades off before
the rapping at the end starts).
