favourite Prince album from the Freedom years

EMANCIPATION
CRYSTAL BALL
THE TRUTH
NEWPOWER SOUL
RRAVE UN2 THE JOY FANTASTIC
THE RAINBOW CHILDREN
ONE NITE ALONE
ONE NITE ALONE...LIVE
XPECTATION

i'll include NPGMC 01 and 02 as seperate albums since there were loads of new tracks each year as well.
if you want you can rate each album on it's own or you can just pick your favourite.

man, it's really sad reading that list.

i'd have to make a best of from those titles and put them on one cd.

In this order:

The Truth
Crystal Ball
Emancipation
TRC
ONAL
New Power Soul
Rave

I'm leaving off ONA and Xpect. simply because I have not heard them enough to give them proper placement.

The Gold Experience and The Truth are, I think, the best of the bunch.

i think that most of those albums were like Prince said once, "experiments in truth', so maybe, yeah they could have used a bit of twiddling. TRC and Emancipation seem to be the most complete albums there.

From that list, TRC is the only record I'd save from a burning house.

Maybe if there wasn't too much smoke I'd think about getting Xpectation too.
