Actually, I think it's a metaphor for his record company. Delores seems to be a woman who has a ravenous appetite despite being well-fed, and who wants P to keep the conversation topic geared towards sex. He gets fed up with her, decides not to feed her anymore, wants to "pick another subject," and when he's run out of tricks to turn, he says, "that's the end."

I think the hidden meaning of the song is that WB continued to push him to sell multi-platinum when he had given them more than enough record sales. They also wanted him to stick with his sex-obsessed image to sell more records when he wanted to explore other topics. Bottom line of the song: the Purple Rain era is over, get off my back and let me make music, or I'm gone.
