i was playing some of Ps covers 4 her,like HonkyTonk & JailhouseRock... & she loved what she heard.
she said "wow he is really talented! it sounds great!"
so i just started playing some other stuff like SheSpoke2Me,Just my Imagination cover,I Could Never Take the Place Of Your Man,Purple rain...

& she really likes the stuff.
she is surprised that i am in2 artists like prince,INXS,Sly (she doesnt even know who sly stone IS!),MJ etc...
her music is elvis,buddy holly,etc....
all that kinda jazz.

she loves P's bluesy stuff & im'a make another P cd 4 her & dad that i think they will like.

ever had a family member finally really 'NOTICE' Prince's music & got them hooked?

i know mum wouldnt like ALL his stuff...but she even dug a track i played from OneNiteAlone

You're just lucky.. hehe!! I played "It Ain't Over" and my mum liked it.. there is some few songs my mum likes.. mainly the really early ones.. like from the album FOR YOU and PRINCE.. but she could never become hooked, and my dad.. NO WAY!! He does admit that Prince is talented but also very weird!! - my sis, went with me to the concert, and she has now accepted him and respects him a lot more then she did before the concert, but she's still not a fan!!.. Some people just dont dig' his style!! (I've just realized that.. )

My mother was listening to Prince before I was and she's always liked what was played on the radio(she wasn't sure what Prince was saying...)! lol

I hate to say this but MUM still doesn't like or care for Prince.

My mum (65) said to my lover who complained about my Prince admiration that she liked Prince!
Maybe she listened to my purple records while I was in school!

Good music can touch anybody. I remember in 1985 watching a TV show about Prince with fans rushing in Mineapolis: teenagers and old ladies!
